First let me point out that I am not going to stab Dog in the back like everyone on here seems to be doing.
The judge was correct in not awarding Dog the money for the capture in the fact that Dog did not have a signed Authorization to Arrest Fugitive in hand, and was acting on his own to get this wanted fugitive off the streets. You can call him what ever you want to, but its people like him that keep these fugitives that noone else can get off the streets.
I personally wish he would have been compensated for what he was out at least, but thats not the way the system is set up.
If Dog is anything like a lot of other Fugitive Recovery Agents and Bounty Hunters I know, he got all the reward he needed, the satisfaction of getting a wanted fugitive behind bars.

..."...he would have been compensated for what he was out at least..." HOGWASH!!! He couldn't get it straight!!! The amt varied by ten's of thousands of dollars. In other words, he lied about his actual & truthful expenses. He had stated that documentation/receipts do not exist in Mexico. More lies. He was simply committing a fraud on the courts in CA & thinking they are as dumb as he is. Only BIG UNDERWEAR is running a close second in that race!!! I believe that he was even attempting to get the bail money he posted in Mexico (that he skipped out on) returned to him as an expense. If you a truly 'going after him', God's speed & Good Luck. I wish there was something I could do to help!!! Be safe in your pursuit, watch your back, & PLEASE KEEP US POSTED HERE...
