HELLO again,
My two younger boys and myself watched him on TV awhile ago. My two boys were pretty impressed by him and asked me if I would let the dog know. I found Mr. Chapmans website and they were pretty impressed. I then found this place in Yahoo so I told them I would say something to Mr. Chapman. I am not really sure what to make of all these replies. We thought he was a bounty hunter that captured the wanted man and should now get his bounty? Does Mr. Chapman come here when he isn't busy and answer questions?
Regards,
Carl Webb

...1st to Stagetec: What 1992 Supreme Court ruling? I must have missed that one...AND now to carlwebb: Have you visited the DogTheBountyHunter.com site, yet? All the stuff that is posted there is from Duane, and NOT from any professional Bail Enforcement Agents (BEA) or organizations. He is the self-proclaimed worlds greatest, but BEWARE!!! AND where your sons are concerned, please be cautious!!! Read Duane's auto bio. He takes pride in the fact that he is a long time law breaker who defies & disregards the law. Still, to this day, he continues to violate local, state, & federal laws, as well as the laws of other countries. One might think that his proudest moment may be connected to the drug related murder that he was a part of. He has shown no remorse for his participation, only for that fact that he had to spend time in a Texas prison where rehabilitation was NOT a part of his curriculum (as evidenced by his continuing law breaking actions). This site has volumes of info re: his practices & behaviors. PLEASE read through ALL of it before you allow your sons to become more of his misguided followers. There are other ligit BEAs here & willing to tell you the straight scoop (DOGHUNTER/Richard & Lance W.). Just because Duane caught up with a noted, wanted felon who had fled to Mexico, does NOT make him the greatest anything. He unlawfully entered another country, under false pretenses; violated several of their laws; was arrested, and bailed out of their jail; & has jumped bail, fled the jurisdiction, & refuses to return & suffer the consequences of his actions. Once back in the US, he attempted to defraud the Ventura Co., CA Superior Court by laying false & unlawful claim to appx. 1/3 of the $1,000,000 cash bail posted by the original fugitive. PLEASE check it out for yourself & then come back here & ask your questions. It appears to me that you are trying to provide a good example to your sons & that's terrific!!! CONVICTS are generally not the best examples for young men to use as their guides through life though...

...Hey, Stagetec: NEVER MIND!!! My mistake..my dyslexia got me again. Sorry 'bout that!!! Sure hope this carlwebb reads all about CONVICT before his sons become too confused & misled. Duane has sure been quiet since the bail money decision was rendered. OH, that's right!! He is an international fugitive. I wonder what countries do not have extradition treaties w/Mexico...

His Criminal Record speaks loud and clear. He is wanted in Mexico for his crimes there. What a role model. Convicted Murderer that's just what you should want your boys following. You sir are a Dip.

...And, as he observed, he does have copious amounts of reading ahead of him. I just hope that it doesn't appear TOO overwhelming that he opts out. He & his sons do need to see the B I G picture...

...Hey carlwebb: THANK YOU for taking the time to look into this for yourself &, more importantly, your sons!!! Most people have simply taken the TV idiots at their word & praised this CONVICT/international fugitive. If he is such a great man (as HE says he is), he should be making arrangements to turn himself in to the Mexican authorities. You sure do not see him doing anything like that. He is, instead, doing everything possible to exploit his self proclaimed fame. I wish there were a way to confirm with Mexico that all their documents are in order so they could pick him up, return him to the jurisdiction from whence he fled, try him & imprison him (hey, he's used to it, being a CONVICT), & have him pay for his crimes. Stick around here. The story is really just beginning...

...Want a real laugh? Read the article in the StarBulletin: starbulletin.com/2003/09/24/news/story4.html A real hoot. It would be great if the reality TV backfired & they had American & Mexican law enforcement agents on hand to arrest their international fugitive CONVICT. For someone who said he was just in this for the 'victims', he sure is exploiting the situation as well as the 'victims'. Wonder how much money he is planning to share w/them? OR the vacationing couple that gave him the hot tip...

I just have a couple questions. How did all of this get started in the first place? Why are all of you so "out for blood" when it comes to Dog?
I personally do not know him, and I believe that he went about the Luster capture in the wrong way, so no, he shouldnt get the bond money, but Im still glad he did it.

...Oh, he will get his just rewards as soon as the Mexican officials have him in their custody & back in their jail where CONVICTS belong!!! ...There is a plethora of information contained in this site that will answer (hopefully) all of your questions regarding this social deviant. He is a CONVICT (drug related, felony murder as well as numerous thefts, robberies, assaults, etc.) who has chosen to NOT change his attitude or behavior. He is a liar who insists on benefitting from his ongoing misdeeds. Read the facts here & then see how you feel. He will continue to be an embarrassment to a profession that DOES have a certain level of responsibility & accountability to our communities, cities, & states. If one is to function as a public servant, one must be within the law & answerable to the people we broadly represent, aid, & assist. If one chooses to not abide by the simple rules of the industry, one has NO business being a part of that industry!!! Please, read the facts contained here, then respond... ...

I too feel that he is a dissapointment and cause for embarrassment to the entire Bail Bond Industry, but I dont feel that its very professional for others in that industry to continuously "bad mouth" him. That is the type of tactics that I've seen Dog come up with, the rest of us should be better people than that.
Hopefully very soon your dreams of the Dog being locked back up in a Mexican jail will become fulfilled. I am in the process of getting all the paperwork from the Procuduria Judicial del Estado in Mexico sent to me so that I can right the wrong that he did while he was there.
