I watched Chapman on A&E last night and noticed the badge he was wearing. It was inscribed with his name and on the bottom was Colorado Fugitive Recovery. Between his name and the bottom there is the Colorado state seal. I queried the Colorado Attorney General's office regarding their laws on use of the state seal. You can email the AG yourself at attorney.general@state.co.us. The following is the reply I received:
"The Colorado state seal may only be used for official government purposes and use must be approved by the Colorado Secretary of State.
Regarding a badge, what kind of badge are you referring to? It cannot be a law enforcement badge and if the purpose of the badge is to intimate that the bounty hunter is a law enforcement official, then such activity could arguably constitute impersonation of a law enforcement officer, which is a crime."
Mr. Chapman's badge is illegal by Colorado law. To add insult to injury, he was wearing the badge with the Colorado state seal while chasing fugitives in Hawaii.
Is there any end to his illegalities???

This novel goes on and on and on. Sherry has a point, wonder why the media hasn't started picking this stuff apart, they usually will have a field day! DOG probably should have made sure his closet was clean before he headed for the spotlight.
