I suspect someday it will come to light that a lot of people being convicted with the new forensic evidence and techniques were actually innocent. As soon as people hear "DNA", "fingerprints", "fibres", etc. it's a slam dunk. In reality almost all these things are open to manipulation and corruption by police and others. The average person has no clue that fingerprints can be transferred from one surface to another very easily, or that DNA can as well. It's not rocket science. Even scent can be transferred. It's all very micky mouse. Easy, fast, no cost, and untraceable a lot of the time. It can be done on scene, no lab required. After hearing about the lab tech in San Antonio and some of the other cases, I wonder just how much of this is going on.

More than you would think. Framing someone, with just alittle bit of knowledge, is not tough to do. Then take into account the geographic area of where the said 'crime' is to be commited, resources etc., it may not even get a second look.

Yeah, remember the year there was a big run on turkey basters, the same exact year where false rape accusations soared.

What seemed like a reason to smile (Luster caught) has had all the joy wrung out of it by"saints, truth, and relentless ones". This is the group that is going to save us from harm? My mind hasn't change, except that those that want to ennoble the BEA profession should walk the walk, and find another way to vent their frustration/anger. When the dust finally settles, will you have pride in the battle you waged against this enemy of yours?

I thought since the subject is pusuits/captures...what do you think of cases where there really IS a victim? I.E. police pursuits that kill innocent bystanders & they are basically immune from prosecution? Not long ago, a police hi-speed pursuit ended with the death of a couple's new baby when the police car rammed this couple's suv.I think you have to look at what the consequences are, and who is doing the complaining.
